Additional $10,000 Reward Offered

Up to $11,000 in reward money awaits anyone with detailed information leading to an indictment in the Myrtle McKinney murder case.

On Christmas Day 2007 the body of Myrtle McKinney, a retired school teacher, age 58 was found murdered in her apartment at Forrest Glenn Apartments.
Investigators with the Palatka Police Department have been steadily pursuing what leads they had and some new information has been developed that leads them to believe that this case can be solved. They believe strongly that someone in the community knows something about a possible suspect or suspects in the case.
Crime Stoppers of Northeast Florida initially posted a reward up to $1,000 in the case. The Palatka Police Department has increased the reward by a total of $10,000 for a tip leading to an arrest. Investigators working the case are hopeful that this reward will prompt a detailed tip from the public that will lead to an arrest and indictment.

All callers to Crime Stoppers will remain anonymous.
Anyone with information can call the Crime Stoppers tip line, toll-free, at (888) 227-TIPS or
call the Palatka Police Department Crime Tip Line at (386) 329-0170.
