The Volusia County Sheriff’s Office is investigating graffiti vandals who defaced two homes on Humphrey Boulevard in Deltona during the first part of June 2006.

The first incident was reported Sunday morning, June 4, 2006 at 1040 Humphrey Blvd., where the victim had hand-painted a religious scene on the garage door of his home. On Sunday morning, the victim discovered that someone had spray-painted an upside cross, the digits 666 and an expletive on the religious scene.

On Monday morning June 5, 2006, deputies took a report of a large, red swastika that was spray-painted on the garage door of a home at 896 Humphrey Blvd. To the right of the swastika were the words “White Power.” While the home is vacant, the Realtor reported that the previous tenant was an African-American couple that moved out of the house about six weeks ago. Callers to Crime Stoppers will remain anonymous and can qualify for a reward of up to $1,000.
